The weather did not discourage a hearty group of a dozen or so who ventured up to Howard Romero's workshop. The majestic Union Lake Lotte did not disappoint and was well worth the trip.
Howard was no nonsense as there was lots to be covered and we went right to the boat, climbed the ladders and he began the story of Lotte.
Starting with the construction of a 42' vessel which quickly turned into a an additional 8' and was now 50'.
Howard was not lacking for the many stories from the original construction to the Romero family involvement and very well documented adventures through the boats ninety years afloat....
