Mike noted that the report shows the largest deficit in years, due to fewer boat registrations for the 2005 Boat Show, a small deficit from the calendars, and a miscalculation of dinner money at the Boat Show.

A possible change in next year’s boat show program advertising and poster printing will be studied by Mike O’Brien, 2006 Boat Show Chairman.

Motion:   Keith Gaylord moved the Treasurer’s Report be approved, seconded by Ed Bombard, and the motion carried.

Annual Meeting:  Steve announced the 2005 October 16th annual meeting to be held on the cruise ship, The Northern Lights with a brunch at noon .  Approximately 45 people have signed up.

Myndy Woodruff suggested that we have a questionnaire prepared with inquiries as to: a permanent site for the boat show (or not), ideas for a logo, a possible Christmas party, fall and summer cruise ideas, summer rendezvous suggestions and creating a club atmosphere to appeal to the younger generation. “What more would you want to see from your club?” he asked. “Why do we have a boat show - for us, or for the public?”

New Business:    (Corrected 10-17-05)

Steve Pond posed the question of having a brother/sister chapter: example Old Forge.

Do we want to have two permanent boat show locations, one in New York and one in Vermont .

Steve congratulated Myndy and Katie Woodruff for their first prize winning boat both at Clayton, N. Y. and at Manotick, Ontario this summer.

The meeting was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

Judy Grosvenor
