The Lake Champlain Chapter's spring meeting in Plattsburgh was a
great success. Clem and Patti Couture arranged for the dinner and
Jack LaDuke (WCAX) showed his excellent pictures from the Chapter's
fall cruise on the Saranac chain of lakes. Fortunately, Amanda
Munson was there to advise Jack and Marseils on computerized digital
projection issues... "try the button on the right". A round table
discussion followed the dinner. Ethanol fuel problems are a hot
topic. Gene Porter suggested that a fuel sample siphoned from the
bottom of the gas tank will show the condition of the fuel. There is
a new enzyme additive called Star-Tron by Star-Brite that combats
ethanol related problems. New York gas may have ethanol while
Vermont gas does not. The youth program kit boat building project is
moving forward. They need an outboard, windshield and other goodies,
should your shed be overflowing.

There is a problem with the return Post Office Box number on the Boat
Show registration form. The Pink Elephant canceled the Box! Send
your registration to Mike O'Brien, 16 Arbor Road, S. Burlington, VT
05403. The Burlington Boat House has extended the deadline to June 15th in that they would like to see more slip reservations for
the Friday and Saturday nights of the Boat Show. Please reserve your
space now so that we will be assured plenty of Show dockage. Call The Burlington Boathouse to reserve 802 856 3377.

Deck, Willsboro Bay Marina, NY

The ACBS Annual Meeting and Boat Show will be at Lake George Village
September 27 - 30 . All are encouraged to attend. They have an
exciting agenda and a lot of interesting tours. They also need help
and will appreciate volunteers.
