(corrected
minutes February 2006) Approximately
fifty people were present for the annual meeting of the LCACBS aboard the cruise
ship Northern Lights at the Steve
Pond, President called the meeting to order. Secretary’s
Report: Judy Grosvenor circulated minutes of the previous Board of Directors
meeting for perusal. Myndy Woodruff moved and Barry Carris seconded a motion to
approve the minutes as presented. The motion carried. Treasurer’s
Report: Mike Munson’s
Treasurer’s report was distributed for perusal.
The current balance is $2,184.39. There was no Ship’s Store at the 2005
Boat Show. Last year’s revenue
from the Ship’s Store was $650.00. It was agreed that the 2005 Boat Show at
Essex, New York was a success but did not bring in the revenue other shows have
brought in due to promotional expenses. This was the largest boat
show deficit to date. The Boat Show
Chairmen, Mike O’Brien and Keith Gaylord hope to bring in more revenue by
revising the sponsorship in the boat show programs. The company that has been
printing the boat show programs does not charge us; rather he receives his money
from advertisers that he enlists. Jan
Dean pointed out that we can not charge admission to our boat shows due to
insurance limitations. Motion:
Bill Truex moved we accept the Treasurer’s Report.
Ed Bombard seconded the motion and it passed. President’s
Report: Steve Pond gave recognition to his wife Betsy for her assistance in
his presidency these past two years, to Ed Bombard who attended the most boat
rendezvous’, to Nancy Wood from the Burlington Business Association and to
