Who says there is global warming!! Tell that to our frozen lake....In spite of the record snow falls and occassional sub-zero temps, things are progressing on our summer events.

The next workshop is scheduled for Saturday March 15, 10am at Jody Lapham's 7871 Vermont Route 125 Bridport, VT 802 758 2399. Jody will update us on his many projects plus a power point presentation on the Fay & Bowen. We also expect Henry & Jim Jordan to join the group for additional demonstrations.

Our Spring meeting is scheduled for April 26 at Anthony's Restaurant & Bistro in Plattsburgh. This event is always well attended and we hope to see you there. Invitations will be mailed out at the end of March.

We are also working diligently on the 23rd Annual LCACB Boat Show & Heitage Festival in Westport. For those of you who plan to stay overnight in Westport, I'd suggest that you visit the Westport Chamber of Commerce Website www.westportny.com for accommodations at various price levels.....Please consider booking very early, because Westport fills up fast in August...Westport also has a fabulous golf course and the Depot Theatre for showgoers.

At our last board meeting, we agreed to broaden this years show with more land displays which will include canoes, guide boats etc. This exhibit will be located on the Ballard Park lawn in front of the pavilion. Hopefully, this

expanded show area will add more participants and broaden the appeal of The Boat Show and at the same time encorage new membership. Please contact Hans Pfister for more information at 802 244 5160 hpfisters@aol.com who is "pulling together" the pulling boat category.

Please keep the Crown Point Lighthouse 150th Anniversary Celebration Rendezvous September 13 on your calendar. This event is shaping up as a nice end-of-year gathering...and coincides with The Festival of Nations. Bring a friend and join-the-party.
