spectacular restorations and reproductions of these fabulous
classics! They are located at 20 Duell Hill Road, Brant Lake, NY
(518) 494-2966. Duell Hill Road goes south from Route 8, about a
mile from the west end of Brant Lake, opposite a large white house
overlooking the lake. The shop is the third building on the right.
Ladies are welcome. Car pools get the fast lane.

April 13 Deadline for newsletter material. Please submit articles to
Larry Asam.

April 28 Spring Meeting at the Plattsburgh Holiday Inn. Clem and
Patty Couture have arranged for cocktails at 5:30 and dinner at
6:30. Jack LaDuke, WCAX Ch 3, will show his excellent photos and
videos of the Chapter’s Fall Cruises @ Saranac Lake. Look for a
flyer in the mail. This is always a fun gathering to welcome spring
and kick off the 2007 boating season! Be There : - )

Looking ahead, the summer and fall will be busy with fun classic
rendezvous and shows, starting with the June 17th (Father’s Day)
Chapter rendezvous at Dana’s Rusty Anchor at Valcour Bay. Watch the
monthly Sounding for details. New this year is the Spencer Boatworks
Antique rendezvous July 28 at Saranac Lake. Wings Wheels & Keels
will be back at Basin Harbor on September 9th. Plan ahead and
bring sunshine!

Another significant happening is the ACBS annual meeting and Boat
Show in Lake George Village and the Hudson River Cruise the last week
of September. Reserve now.

The LCACBS Board had a meeting on March 13th. The Chapter’s
financial position is healthy thanks the positive inflows from the
Boat Show and the Calendar. The Board approved the 2007 Budget which
included funding for the youth boat building project. There was
discussion about where to have the 2008 Show and it was the feeling
of the Board that we should follow the usual rotation and have the
Show in Westport, NY. 2009 is the Big Quad (400th) celebration
for Lake Champlain and it will be a busy year on the waterfront. The
minutes are posted on the Chapter web site . It was
also noted that there has been a big increase in web site hits, now
over seven thousand. This is due to the fact that Larry Asam keeps
it up to date and has an attractive interesting format.

The 22nd Annual Lake Champlain ACBS Boat Show is August 17-18 at The Burlington Community Boat House. We look forward to seeing you all at this premier event. Details and registration information will be mailed at the end of April.  Should you have any questions contact: Mike O'Brien mollyb19@verizon.net or 802 355 1781.
