ENCORE is a 1934 18’ Chris-Craft Deluxe Runabout, Hull Number 33026, that won “Best Restored Runabout” in 2009 at the ACBS judged wooden boat show in Clayton, NY. She also won “Best of…” in 2008 and 2009 in every other show she entered and again looked pristine in 2010 and now for the 2011 season. Here is some information about this traditionally restored prize winner. Detailed photos are available which were taken before, during, and after her restoration. In addition, Encore’s particularly interesting history is available. It began with her delivery in 1934 to Duso Marine Sales on Lower Saranac Lake, NY, for purchase by Edwin Marks who owned cottage #4 at Knollwood Camp. Subsequently, she went to the Swenson Camp, also on Lower Saranac Lake. In 1976 the camp closed and the boat was kept in the original boathouse and maintained by the caretaker of the closed camp until 1992 when he was given the boat as partial payment for his services. The boat was then sold and is now in Atlanta, Ga. There is much more history and many restoration photos available.

1954 '22 Shepherd utility for restoration. The frame and hull are solid with
no know broken ribs or frames, although a few planks on the hull are starting
to soften in the aft where they meet the transom. The topsides and deck look
terrible with the varnish peeling and wrinkling. Definately requires a full
sanding and refinish from bare wood. Unfortunately from when I bought the
boat, the deck hardware and windshield were removed and not included with the
boat. The interior was gutted for the resteraion . The original
engine and gauges were also removed and replaced with a 305 mercruiser from
the late 80s and a hydraulic reverse transmission. Trailer rolls but I
would not advise driving with it. Please email with any questions, thank
you.
