BEWARE of SCAMERS - One scenario is:
They will offer to send a check for more then the value of the boat to cover shipping.
It's a bogus check - you cash it and their agent gets cash for the shipping then you have to cover the bad check.
REMEMBER If the deal sounds too good to be true it probably is.

ENCORE is a 1934 18’ Chris-Craft Deluxe Runabout, Hull Number 33026, that won “Best Restored Runabout” in 2009 at  the ACBS judged wooden boat show in Clayton, NY. She also won “Best of…” in 2008 and 2009 in every other show she entered and again looked pristine in 2010 and now for the 2011 season. Here is some information about this traditionally restored prize winner.

Detailed photos are available which were taken before, during, and after her restoration.  In addition, Encore’s particularly interesting history is available. It began with her delivery in 1934 to Duso Marine Sales on Lower Saranac Lake, NY, for purchase by Edwin Marks who owned cottage #4 at Knollwood Camp.  Subsequently, she went to the Swenson Camp, also on Lower Saranac Lake. In 1976 the camp closed and the boat was kept in the original boathouse and maintained by the caretaker of the closed camp until 1992 when he was given the boat as partial payment for his services. The boat was then sold and is now in Atlanta, Ga. There is much more history and many restoration photos available.

32' wood antique 1960 Chris Craft, twin Chevrolet engines
This boat has been in our family for over 40 years. Extensively restored to excellent condition in 1997 when I took possession. Always a fresh water boat in a covered slip. Sold originally By Irwin Marine of Laconia NH and was in Lake Winnipesaukee until 1989 and then moved to Lake Memphremagog in Newport VT. Its current home. The restoration in 1997 involved extensive work, including replacing many hull planks,1/3 of transom planks, entire fwd. deck replaced, new cabin roof material installed, entire interior refurbished, and one engine rebuilt. Entire hull was stripped to bare wood, inspected and repainted in Canada in 2001 , hull and interior refinished again in 2008. All copper fuel lines and fuel pumps replaced with modern.
I have detailed photos and receipts to document all work. She is in excellent shape ,needs only a new Chris Craft “lover” to continue to care for her . Priced well below restoration cost in excess of $80K.   Asking $35,000, some owner financing possible. Call Ted at 603-490-3316, 8AM to 8PM.

1954 '22 Shepherd utility

1954 '22 Shepherd utility for restoration. The frame and hull are solid with no know broken ribs or frames, although a few planks on the hull are starting to soften in the aft where they meet the transom. The topsides and deck look terrible with the varnish peeling and wrinkling. Definately requires a full sanding and refinish from bare wood. Unfortunately from when I bought the boat, the deck hardware and windshield were removed and not included with the boat. The interior was gutted  for the resteraion . The original engine and gauges were also removed and replaced with a 305 mercruiser from the late 80s and a hydraulic reverse transmission. Trailer rolls but I would not advise driving with it. Please  email with any questions, thank you.
Seth Giffin
